VINTAGE GRAND PRIX AT MID-OHIO SET FOR JUNE 25-27
From vintage thunder to modern
marvels, Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio was made for sports
cars. The Vintage Grand Prix of
Mid-Ohio, June 25-27, will look back at the decades of sports car racing, with
on-track action that includes 10 Sportscar Vintage Racing Association (SVRA)
group races, three Enduro races, one S2000
championship race, a Datsun/ Nissan featured race and
more.
In a nod to former longtime
partner of the track, Datsun/ Nissan will be honored
during the weekend as the Featured Marque. All years of the marque
are welcome as the weekend will be full of activities including special
featured races by professional racers, Grand Marshal and Datsun
racing legend John Morton, and also car club corrals displaying the history of Datsun/ Nissan automobiles.
Special advanced pricing for
registered car clubs is available until Wednesday, June 23. For $40, fans will
receive one weekend general admission ticket, and access to the VIP hospitality
area. For $70, you will receive two weekend general admission tickets along
with access to the VIP hospitality area for two. Single day tickets are also
available at a discount when ordered in advance. As always, children under 12
are admitted free.
British car clubs and individual
car owners are invited to participate in the 12th Annual British Car
Showdown on Saturday, June 26. All British marques are welcome to enter the
show, including Aston Martin, Jaguar, Lotus, MG, Morgan, Morris, Rolls Royce,
Rover, Triumph and others. British Car Showdown participants are welcome and
encouraged to return for the Concours d’Elegance on Sunday.
For owners of international and
domestic makes who want to show off their pride, the Concours
d’Elegance will commence on Sunday, June 27. All makes and models are invited to participate, with ‘Judge’s
Choice’ and ‘People’s Choice’ among the awards presented. Cars will be divided into several unique
classes for judging purposes.
Dozens of awards will be
presented throughout the weekend, and all registered show entrants in both
shows are invited to drive in a parade lap around the 2.4-mile, 15-turn
permanent road course during the lunch break each day. VIP parking and car
corrals are available at no additional charge to groups participating in the
weekend’s festivities.
To complete the trackside
experience, camping is available on-site at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. Motor home camping is just $45 for the
weekend, or you can stay in a tent camping for only $20. A weekend general admission ticket is
required to enter the campgrounds. Permanent shower facilities are.
