VINTAGE GRAND PRIX AT MID-OHIO SET FOR JUNE 25-27

From vintage thunder to modern marvels, Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio was made for sports cars.  The Vintage Grand Prix of Mid-Ohio, June 25-27, will look back at the decades of sports car racing, with on-track action that includes 10 Sportscar Vintage Racing Association (SVRA) group races, three Enduro races, one S2000 championship race, a Datsun/ Nissan featured race and more.

In a nod to former longtime partner of the track, Datsun/ Nissan will be honored during the weekend as the Featured Marque. All years of the marque are welcome as the weekend will be full of activities including special featured races by professional racers, Grand Marshal and Datsun racing legend John Morton, and also car club corrals displaying the history of Datsun/ Nissan automobiles.

Special advanced pricing for registered car clubs is available until Wednesday, June 23. For $40, fans will receive one weekend general admission ticket, and access to the VIP hospitality area. For $70, you will receive two weekend general admission tickets along with access to the VIP hospitality area for two. Single day tickets are also available at a discount when ordered in advance. As always, children under 12 are admitted free.

British car clubs and individual car owners are invited to participate in the 12th Annual British Car Showdown on Saturday, June 26. All British marques are welcome to enter the show, including Aston Martin, Jaguar, Lotus, MG, Morgan, Morris, Rolls Royce, Rover, Triumph and others. British Car Showdown participants are welcome and encouraged to return for the Concours d’Elegance on Sunday.

For owners of international and domestic makes who want to show off their pride, the Concours d’Elegance will commence on Sunday, June 27.  All makes and models are invited to participate, with ‘Judge’s Choice’ and ‘People’s Choice’ among the awards presented.  Cars will be divided into several unique classes for judging purposes.

Dozens of awards will be presented throughout the weekend, and all registered show entrants in both shows are invited to drive in a parade lap around the 2.4-mile, 15-turn permanent road course during the lunch break each day. VIP parking and car corrals are available at no additional charge to groups participating in the weekend’s festivities.
